Mr. Jared is a graduate of Elon University in North Carolina, holding a BFA in Music Theatre. He began dancing at the age of 8 and studied under many prestigious companies including Ballet Austin, Tapestry Dance Company, and Interlochen School for the Arts. Jared has performed in numerous plays, musicals and dance performances in the Chicago area and beyond including the Broadway National Tour of Monty Python’s Spamalot, Music Man at the Paramount, and Hello Dolly at Drury Lane Oakbrook. Jared brings a vast array of skills and knowledge to Sunshine Dance from his many years in the performance industry.
Jared is the proud Owner of Sunshine Dance and Director of the award-winning Sunshine Dance Company. In addition, Jared is also the Owner/Artistic Director of Bright Lights Theatre, a local children's theatre company. He is beyond thrilled to be sharing his knowledge and passion for dance and theatre with the next generation of young artists.

Miss Steph is a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance and a minor in Dance! Stephanie's love for dance began at an early age, starting with competition dance in her youth and then onto collegiate level classes later in life. She has worked as a choreographer for many schools and youth programs in the Chicago area and beyond. She has been a performer with Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre in Colorado, Theo Ubique in Chicago, and Drury Lane Theatre in Oakbrook. Stephanie has been a member of the Sunshine Dance faculty for the past 5 years. In addition, she also acts as the resident Music Director/Choreographer for Bright Lights Theatre here in Glen Ellyn! In her free time she loves writing songs and playing guitar!

Brittany Amoroso is originally from San Jose, California where she trained with Teen Dance Company of the Bay Area. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara completing her B.F.A. in dance. Upon graduation, she received the Tonia Shimin award for excellence and promise in the field of dance and an honorable mention for her choreography at UCSB. She performed works by Nancy Colahan, José Limon, Austin McCormick, Robert Battle and many more faculty members and students. While residing in Chicago she has apprenticed with Chicago Repertory Ballet, performed as a solo dancer in Lyric Opera of Chicago's production of Tannhauser, was a featured dancer in Paramount Theater's production of West Side Story, and most recently performed in Dance For Life with Hanna Brictson and Dancers. She currently freelance performs in a variety of shows and festivals around Chicago. Brittany has found a passion in teaching and is excited to be able to share her love of dance with her students!

Miss Alanna started dancing at the age of fifteen. She graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelors of fine arts with an emphasis in dance performance. At NIU she had extensive training under Autumn Eckman, Paula Frasz, and Judith Chitwood. She was a 2013 scholarship recipient at Chicago’s Visceral Dance Center and trained at Lou Conte Dance Studio. Post graduation she has been seen with Paul Christiano’s “Hungry Ghosts”, The Lyric Opera of Chicago, DanszLoop Chicago, and has participated in multiple freelance dance shows. She has also performed with Winifred & Haun Dancers “Open Rehearsal”, DanceWorks Chicago “DanceBytes”, Chicagos “Carnival”, and in a wide repertoire with Northern Dance Theatre in DeKalb, Illinois. Alanna was also a principal dancer with Hedwig Dances where she toured internationally to perform. She has been most recently contracted to perform with Aerial Dance Chicago, taking her dancing to new heights and opportunities. Alanna has a passion for choreographing and teaching, she loves watching children’s love for dance grow.

Mr. Sammy is a native of the Chicagoland area. After training at various studios, he became a member of the award winning "Boom Crack! Dance Company", based in Chicago. While dancing with "Boom Crack!", he was given the opportunity to perform alongside Benny the Bull and the Luvabulls. He is currently an active member of the Chicago Bulls 312 Crew. Sammy’s dynamic choreography has won numerous awards and accolades in the competitive dance scene. As an instructor, Sammy loves to share his passion for dance and knowledge with his students while encouraging them to continuously grow and inspire one another.

LAUREN ROMANO ERICKSON
Miss Lauren holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Illinois Wesleyan University and her teaching license from National Louis University. As a teaching artist, she has worked with Naperville School of Performing Arts, Dream Big, Metropolis, BAM Theatre and Hinsdale Community Preschool. She has directed many children’s shows, and enjoys helping her students build confidence onstage and off. One of her favorite experiences was working with Chicago Children’s Theatre’s Red Kite Project, which provides interactive theatre experiences for children with Autism. She also helped create Picnic Players, the resident Children’s Theatre Company at Naperville School of Performing Arts. Her professional performing experience includes shows at Metropolis, City Lit Theatre and Big Noise Theatre.

Miss Devon is a freelance dancer, choreographer, and teacher originally from Naperville, Illinois. She is a graduate from nationally accredited Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. Devon has performed works by Peter Chu, Eddie Ocampo, Rennie Harris, Joseph Hernandez, and international choreographer Ohad Naharin.
Devon is currently dancing for Hot Crowd, a nonprofit dance company based in Chicago under the direction of founder and artistic director Emily Ashburn. Devon has performed around the U.S. including Washing D.C’s Kennedy Center. Between teaching her jazz fundaments, trick turns and leap progressions, hard hitting contemporary movement, and owner of her own dance team consulting business Devon manages to travel weekends judging and teaching at competition. This summer will be her eighth year with Universal Dance Association and her third year as a USASF qualified Legality Official. Her choreography has taken home multiple choreograph and high placement awards. Devon is very excited to join the growing history of Sunshine Dance!

Miss Miriam began her dancing career performing with the Chicago Festival Ballet touring in the roles of “Clara” in The Nutcracker and as a “Step-Sister” in Cinderella. She then went on to dance with the Chautauqua Festival Ballet in New York, where she choreographed her first work.
After receiving her BFA in Drama from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Miriam directed several short plays through the Dramatic Writing and Classical Studio collaboration. Miriam has appeared in theatre productions Off-Broadway, in Chicago, and Los Angeles, and she is the founder and director of Vision Productions, through which she premiered several of her own original plays in New York City.

At the age of four, Miss Mandy began her love affair with the world of dance. She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Chicago College of Performing Arts and has worked professionally as a performer at Drury Lane Theatre, The Paramount Theatre and The Marriott Theatre. She has also traveled the country in the National Tour of "42nd Street" as well as worked at many other theatres across the U.S.
Miss Mandy has developed and taught musical theatre and dance programs for children in Shanghai, China and Lima, Peru. She enjoys working with children and adults and sharing her love of dance. In her free time, Miss Mandy works as a photographer and enjoys traveling the world!
